Not a Runaway, Inc. only works with families of teenage children that go missing. Why this group? Because missing teenagers face an unfortunate assumption of having ran away and they are less likely to warrant an Amber Alert. But, even if that teenager walks away freely does not always mean they left their block freely or that they stayed away freely.
Knowing the possible dangers that these missing teenagers can encounter, our pro-bono services are designed to work exclusively with their families to rapidly help in the search of locating and bringing them home.
Cases that we take on, must meet the following criteria:
- Child is between the ages of 11- 17
- Child has been missing 2 weeks or less
- Child has no history of ever running away
- Active case filed with Law Enforcement & National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Children missing more than 2 weeks, 10 or younger or 18 and older, should be referred to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
